At The Makers Club, we believe in creativity and purposeful play as a way for children to develop social-emotional skills, perseverance, and a knack for thinking outside the box.
We are a play and art-centered preschool and after-school program, serving children 3 - 12 years of age.
Our mission is to provide a beautiful environment that creates joy, sparks children’s imagination, promotes social-emotional health, and allows children to develop problem solving skills.
Imagine instead a classroom where learning is dictated by students’ interests, exploration, curiosity and experimentation. Where learners work together to answer questions that are relevant and fascinating to them.
Where they don’t expect to get everything right the first time, but can learn from their failures, and delight in their discoveries. Where learning is based on skills and values, far beyond the limitations of testable knowledge, and evaluated by application rather than meaningless tests.
This is our definition of play. This is The Makers Club way.
